Barefoot Beach Wedding Package

The three-night Barefoot Beach Wedding package includes all the necessities for a simple yet spectacular wedding celebration. Priced $1,414 per couple, it includes accommodations for three nights in a Beachfront Bungalow, all wedding coordination prior to arrival (on-site and during the ceremony), ceremony location and decoration of gazebo or arch, bridal bouquet, and a Champagne toast, as well as two resort logoed robes, a half-hour massage for two, and a welcome fruit basket and bottle of wine.

It is possible to build upon this package, as needed, to include additional accommodations, catering, music, wedding cake, rentals, photography and more.

Wedding FAQs

Do I need to be a resident of the Bahamas to get married on Long Island?

No, couples can apply for a marriage licence one day after they arrive and can be married as soon as they receive their approved licence (usually the day after the application).

Do I need proof of identification?

Both parties must show a valid passport, birth certificate and photo ID, as well as evidence of the date of their arrival in the Bahamas. The Bahamas Immigration Card or entry stamp in your passport will suffice.

Do I need witnesses?

Two witnesses (at least 18 years old) must sign your marriage licence. If it’s just the two of you, we can provide witnesses.

Are there any fees I should know about?

Yes, the commissioner fees are $400. Fees for marriage certificates, Apostilles and required postage range from $140-$260 USD depending on your country of residence.

What if I’m divorced or widowed?

If either party has been divorced, the original final decree or a certified copy must be produced. Where applicable, a translated, certified and notarized copy of the final decree must be produced. If either party is widowed, the original death certificate or certified copy must be produced. Where applicable, a translated, certified and notarized copy of the death certificate must be produced.

What if I’ve never been married?

If either party is single and never been married before, a declaration certifying this fact must be sworn before a notary public or other person authorised to administer oaths in the country of residence. This document must accompany the application for the marriage licence. This declaration can also be obtained in The Bahamas from an attorney-at-law or notary public.

What do I need to do to secure my wedding date?

To secure your booking, a 25% deposit is required to guarantee your room reservation plus an additional deposit of $500 USD to guarantee your arrangements. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival (60 days during peak/blackout periods). All deposits are nonrefundable inside 30 days (60 days during peak/blackout periods).
